In Maths this week we have been learning the properties of 3D shapes. We made these and were able to identify the number of faces, edges and vertices.
In History, we were learning about how crime and punishment changed in the 19th century. We looked at reasons why the crime rate increased in the 1800's, we had a class discussion over which punishments we thought were the fairest and the harshest depending on the crime and then finally we used this information to make informed predictions as to why crime rate then decreased. The children came up with some fantastic reasons!
In Computing, we have been learning about how text and images are used to create media and communicate messages to people. Today we looked at different templates and layouts and had to decide what the purpose of each was. We then had some scenarios and had to decide which layout would be the most effective to communicate the message.
